Anemi Festival

It was the summer of 2016 when, with the initiative of the Anemi Hotel, a 3-day music festival, with the participation of leading Greek musicians and artists, was born in Folegandros.

The hotel, located since 2008 in Karavostsasi, has distinguished itself both inside and outside Greece thanks to its design, discreet luxury, aesthetics and high quality services, leaving its mark on an annual celebration that aims at attracting famous artists of the Greek and international music scene, ensuring Folegandros a prominent position among not only Greek but also Mediterranean festivals.

During the festival, along with the music events, speeches are delivered and workshops are organized for both the locals and the visitors while this year the opportunity to come in contact with the island’s hidden beauties is provided to those wishing to do so, through guided tours to the breathtaking trails of the area.

Anemi Festival 2016

The first festival, held in July 2016, had a jazz character and immediately showed that something different is happening in Folegandros. The first year, eminent musicians and artists took part: Dimitra Galani and four distinguished musicians presented the project CHRONOS in Punta while the great jazz musicians Christos Rafalides and Petros Klampanis with their band, POINT TWO, came from New York exclusively for a unique live performance in the open space of the ANEMI Hotel.

Anemi Festival 2017

This July too, popular Greek artists are coming as guests to the magnificent island of the Cyclades to make our summer evenings more enjoyable with their music.

Note the dates and names:

  • July 27th, ANEMI HOTEL: Minor Project
  • July 28th, Punta: Kostis Maraveyas
  • July 29th / in the morning: Chora Old School, Punta: music workshop for children with a famous Greek musician
  • July 29th / in the evening: Giorgos Mouchtaridis from PEPPER 96,6 with his special choices from Greek and international discography will signify the end of the festival

*All the events are free for the public.

During the three days of the festival, tours to the trails will be organized by a local guide. More information concerning the time and reservations will be available in June.
